Ever wonder what life is like as a hijab fashion model? Is it possible to be fashionable and wear the hijab? Follow Yasmin Mohsen, a model that wears hijab thru a typical day. This awesome Muhajaba runs a modeling school, designs veils and can be found gracing the pages of trendy fashion magazines throughout the Arab world.

Yasmin is an example of a Sister who doesn't let anyone tell her that she can't do something just because she's veiled. Because of people like her, the veil has become mainstream and popular. Sisters who may have been struggling with putting on the hijab now have so many fashion-conscious options!

Yasmin certainly embodies the title "Al Muhajaba El Aniqa!"

Im going to be starting a new column called Al Muhajaba El Aniqa. Its a weekly style award that will be given to chic hijabis that embody this title. Al Muhajaba El Aniqa means: one who wears the hijab(veil) with style and pride. If you know any fellow fashionistas that you think deserve a shout out, please dont hesitate to let us know!

Conditions for Women's Hijab

Everything but the hands and face should be covered - including your feet :)
Don't forget to cover your hair and bustline!
Clothing should be wide and loose so as to obscure your figure. This is most easily accomplished by wearing something OVER your regular clothing.
Clothing must not be see-thru.
Clothing must not attract attention - i.e. avoid loud colors, bold designs, sparkles etc...
Clothing shouldnt be that which only men traditionally wear...enjoy being a woman!
Avoid make-up and noisy, visible jewelry - you're pretty enough...don't make it harder for people! :)
No perfume - I'm sure you already smell great!
Clothing should not resemble solely that which non-Muslims wear. - Sorry, no Daisy Dukes in public!
Hijab isnt just a dress code, its a mindset! Your beauty isnt only skin deep! Be modest in your behavior as well. Remember this isnt just a protection for you as a person, this is an act of worship. :)
