Today I first start wearing my hijab. I really like this video, but it reminds me of the first time I tried to wear hijab. It terrified me! That is how I feel right now when I see the niqab part, like it will make me a ghost. I am sure it is not nearly that terrible, maybe one day insha'allah I will wear niqab, but for now I am happy being hijabi :)
Alhamdulilah! i am sooooooooooo happy to hear that. As they say in the video "hagipti bravo alaiki"!!! Msy All(swt) continue to make it easy for you. Believe me, the fear will wear off. give people a chance to get to know the new and improved you!
I liked this video a lot, because the idea of niqab never occurred to me that appealing before, Now I'm thinking why not, maybe some day, I'm a hijabi ever sense I knew myself, and I love that about myself, but I had the idea that niqab is for those who want to have a complete religious life and not the kind of people in this video, I mean they were well educated, been to other countries and speak English very well, it was little surprising, specially the journalist girl wanted to wear it too!!! For me it has always been that niqab means a stay at home wife, Can a women be active with the niqab the same way she can be with the hijab? Like having a job, and so on? Maybe she have to give a way those thing in order to be peaceful, the niqabi girl seemed to have a very peaceful life, I imagined that it must feel very nice to not worry how others judge your look and beauty, and feel closer to god at the same time, hijab does that but not in the same way as the niqab, At the sam time the hijab is changing and shrinking and getting smaller and more fashionable everywhere around the world, to fit with women’s active life and their desire to look attractive while wearing it, I don’t really know if it is a good thing or a bad thing!?
Please feel free to let us know what you think. Add your ideas about hijab styles, scarf tieing suggestions and life as Al Muhajaba El Aniqa (the one who wears hijab with pride and style)!
